Children's Climbing Lessons

enjoyleisure offers climbing lessons for children aged between 8 - 13 years.

During the blocks of lessons participants learn the fundamental requirements of belaying, climbing etiquette and general safety as well as a range of climbing techniques working towards the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS) Levels 1 & 2. 



Beginners 8-11years: Discover climbing with this class for complete beginners. Learn how to climb safely at an indoor wall.

Intermediate 8 – 11 years: once you have completed at least one term of beginners this class may be for you. Improve your climbing techniques.

Advanced 8- 11 years: once you have completed two years of intermediate climbing classes you are ready for this class. You will have reached NICAS level 3 standard.

Booking Procedures

  • As the lesson blocks comes to an end, priority re-enrolment periods are available to existing attendees. 
  • Thereafter spaces are available to new entrants on a first come, first serve basis.


  • All Climbing Lessons are booked in blocks.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Leisure Pass and Access to Leisure discounts apply. To ensure efficiency at reception, please ensure any Leisure Pass / Access to Leisure Cards are in date and valid for the duration of the block, prior to rebooking.


  • Refunds will only be offered if a cancellation request is made 24 hours prior to the start of the first lesson.
  • Thereafter should you need to withdraw your child from a block lessons, we will offer to transfer their space and remaining lessons to the next block or a sibling if requested.
  • It is not our policy to offer refunds once a block has started.
