Enjoying a Cuppa or Two for Macmillan

enjoyleisure would like to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Macmillan Coffee Morning at Dunbar Leisure Pool on Friday 27th September, including MP for East Lothian Martin Whitfield.

The fantastic café staff onsite, Dawn, Kerry and Marta were baking up a storm, presenting a wonderful array of fabulous cakes and home-bakes to the Coffee Morning visitors.  Further baking donations came in from volunteers and customers of the centre, as well as a donation of raffle prizes from several local businesses.

Shauna Cunningham, Macmillan Move More Co-ordinator for enjoyleisure commented, ‘We’re absolutely delighted and touched by the support for Friday’s Macmillan Coffee Morning at Dunbar Leisure Pool.  We had a fantastic turnout and raised an incredible £592 for Macmillan, supporting people living with and beyond cancer.  An additional, special thanks goes to our star bakers!”

enjoyleisure are currently working directly with Macmillan, rolling out the ‘Move More’ physical activity programme across East Lothian, which offers a range of activities designed for people living with and beyond cancer, to support them to become, and stay, more physically active throughout their cancer experience.  All Move More East Lothian activities are delivered by fully trained exercise instructors and volunteers, who support participants into activities which are right for them, to help build confidence, balance and strength in a fun and supportive environment.
