Get in the Swim with Scottish Swimming's Learn to Swim Provider of the Year 2019!

In November 2019, enjoyleisure was awarded the coveted, Scottish Swimming Learn to Swim Provider of the Year Award.  This was awarded in recognition of the effort and commitment enjoyleisure made in creating and delivering high quality Learn to Swim programmes, which help children become more confident, competent and safer swimmers.

Our Award-winning Children's Learn to Swim Programme

Our Learn to Swim programme follows the national Scottish Swimming Framework, offering a structure lesson programme and development pathway of infants and children from age 4 months plus which includes:

  • Early Years:  Adult & Baby, Adult & Toddler, Adult & Child 
  • Pre-School: Age 3-4 years
  • Swim Skills:  Core Learn to Swim Programme Levels 1-4
  • Club Ready: A preparation level prior to moving to a swimming club
     

Each participant enrolled within the Learn to Swim programme joins our Get in the Swim Membership Scheme. 
 

Get in the Swim Membership Scheme includes: 

  • Rolling Lesson Programme:  Lessons run for up to 48 weeks of the year.
  • Smoother Transitions: Participants move to the next level when they are ready, (subject to availability).
  • Easy Monthly Payments: Swimming lessons are paid for in manageable monthly direct debit payments.
  • Free Swims: All lesson participants are able to enjoy Free Swims at all East Lothian Swimming Pools, all year round.
  • Free Get in the Swim Goodies: each participant receives their own Get in the Swim membership card and swim bag.


Monthly Membership Payments

Swimming Lessons are paid by monthly direct debit from a nominated bank account. 

Monthly Payment £20.00 per month*
Correct as of April 2022, subject to annual review. 

*Access to Leisure Customers are entitled to a 50% discount on the standard monthly membership fee of £20.00 per month. However should the Access to Leisure subscription expire / terminate the direct debit payment will automatically increase to the standard amount. Further Terms & Conditions Apply. 
 

How do I enrol my child? 

Swim Assessments

We ask all children aged 5+ years looking to join our swimming lesson programme to attend a swim assessment, so we can determine which level of our SwimSkills programme they should be placed into.

Following the Swim Assessment, all customers will be asked to complete an enquiry form.  Thereafter you will be contacted by our Swim Development Team to either be offered a space, or to join the enquiry list.   

Application Process

Once you have been offered a place in the lesson scheme, you will be asked to complete a Get in the Swim Membership Scheme Form, and make an initial pro-rata payment at your preferred Sports Centre. 

To comply with banking regulations, and to protect customers from fraud and identity theft, you may be asked for proof of photographic ID and bank account ownership.

Please note that our swimming lesson enquiry list is currently closed (for all centres) for children from 2 years and over.  Our enquiry list is now open for children under the age of 2.

Due to high demand our waiting list for 1:1 lessons will be temporarily closed from the 17th October 2022.  Any requests we have received before this date will be honoured and added to the list. 
 

 

Additional Services

Children with Additional Support Needs

If your child has any additional support needs, please get in touch with our swimming development team via swimming@enjoyleisure.com so we can discuss their specific requirements.

As far as possible, we integrate children with additional support needs into our mainstream lessons.  However for those children with more complex needs, we offer swimming lessons especially tailored ASN lessons at both Aubigny Sports Centre and Dunbar Leisure Pool.   

 

One-to-One Tuition

We appreciate that not everyone learns in the same way or develops at the same pace. As such enjoyleisure is delighted to provide one-to-one swimming lesson tuition.

Working with you / your child on an individual basis we can assist in developing confidence in the water as well as stroke technique.

One-to-one sessions are available at all of our swimming pools. Appointments are made on an individual basis depending on availability.  Please contact the swim team via swimming@enjoyleisure.com for more details.

 

Adult Lessons 

It's never too late to discover the joy of swimming!   Whether you are starting from the very beginning, want to improve your confidence in the water, develop your stroke technique or additional training in preparation for competitions / triathlons we can help.
